Lynch tapped to fill Snoqualmie police chief vacancy

Snoqualmie Mayor announced Monday that she has appointed Brian Lynch as the city’s chief of police

Snoqualmie Mayor Katherine Ross announced Monday that she has tapped Brian Lynch to be the city’s police chief. Lynch has held the position on an interim basis since June.

“Since stepping forward to lead the department, I have been impressed with Interim Chief Lynch’s strong leadership and track record of accomplishment,”Ross said in a press release.

The city council will vote to confirm Ross’ appointment at its next meeting on Nov. 27.

Lynch, a North Bend resident and 20-year veteran of the force, was hired as a captain by the Snoqualmie Police Department in 2022. He previously worked for the Black Diamond and Enumclaw Police Departments.

In June, Lynch was promoted to interim-chief after then-chief Perry Phipps resigned. Phipps left the city at the request of Ross, the Valley Record previously reported.
