Moms play free at Remlinger Farms

In honor of Mother’s Day, moms and grandmothers are invited to enjoy the day on the house at Remlinger Farms in Carnation.

Moms and grandmothers who come for the Remlinger Farms “Country Fare” Mother’s Day buffet breakfast, on Sunday, May 10, get a free day pass and unlimited rides at the farm’s Country Fair Fun Park.

Visitors can see farm animals, ride on an authentic steam train, and more.

Remlinger Farms’ Market officially opens Friday, May 8 and will be filled with in-season fruits and vegetables for local feasts through October.

Just for Mother’s Day, the fun park’s “Wildlife After Dark” exhibit will be open for viewing from noon to 3 p.m. This exhibit of taxidermy animals includes deer, elk, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, beaver, otter, cougar and bears.

Salish offers mom’s day brunch

On Sunday, May 10, the culinary team at Salish Lodge & Spa will serve up an array of brunch options, tempting the taste buds of mothers and loved ones alike.

The Attic Lounge, a casual venue overlooking the falls, will offer a three course brunch.

In the dining room, guests can choose from three specialties including Pike Place Vegetarian Omelet, Poached Eggs Dungeness and The Salish Tradition, three farm eggs with bacon, pork-apple sausage and honey cured ham, shoestring herbed potatoes and a buttermilk biscuit.

A Mother’s Day buffet brunch in the Ballroom will offer an array of options and several courses.

Stroller Strides has grand opening

Stroller Strides, the nation’s largest fitness program for new moms, has arrived in Snoqualmie Ridge.

The business holds a grand opening, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at its location at 1732 Center Blvd., suite 100.

Stroller Strides is a total fitness program for new moms that they can do with their babies. It includes power walking and intervals of body toning using exercise tubing and the stroller. In addition to classes, Stroller Strides offers playgroups and moms’ nights out, giving women an opportunity to socialize and further relationships.

“Stroller Strides is a great way to get back in shape, as well as stay in shape,” said owner Tracy King. “We present a fun opportunity for the moms of the Snoqualmie Ridge community to turn their strollers into a workout.”

To celebrate their arrival in Snoqualmie Ridge, Stroller Strides is holding a free class to teach moms about the benefits of exercising with their babies. The opening also includes a raffle, specials, and refresments.
