North Bend Police
Tuesday, Nov. 30
Beer Thieves: At 9:30 p.m., a caller reported to police that he had witnessed three juveniles stealing beer from a store in the 400 block of North Bend Way. He said that as he left the west door of the business, he saw the three suspects standing outside, and looking around. While one acted as the look-out, two of the juveniles sneaked inside and stole half-cases of beer.
Monday, Nov. 29
Holiday vandalism: At 10:04 p.m., a resident in the 1400 block of SW 15 Place reported that someone had torn the Christmas lights off a tree in his front yard, and smashed all the lights. The victim said he’d just put the lights up about two hours earlier.
Sunday, Nov. 28
No License: At 11:08 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Bendigo Blvd. and SW Park for a faulty tail light. After making contact with the driver of the vehicle, the officer was further able to charge the driver with driving with a revoked license, failure to wear a seat belt, an open container inside the vehicle, and failure to transfer the title of the vehicle.
Friday, Nov. 26
Out Late: At 10:50 p.m., an officer observed a person walking in the road in the 700 block of E North Bend Way. The walker was a minor in possession of alcohol. The officer did a records check and found an outstanding arrest warrant for alcohol and tobacco violations. The suspect was booked into the Issaquah Jail.

Monday, Nov. 29
Car Prowl: At 9:08 p.m., a caller reported that several items had been stolen from his vehicle parked on the street in the 8300 block of Silva Ave. SE the previous evening. The battery and two fog lights had been taken. The victim also said he’d seen a vehicle like his parked in front of his vehicle, facing the wrong way, about a week earlier. There were two white males in the vehicle, and they drove off when the victim approached them.
Sunday, Nov. 28
Lost and Found: At 7:32 p.m. a citizen phoned in a theft report. The victim said his vehicle had been broken into in the 37000 block of SE Gravenstein Court, some time in the last two weeks. He was not sure of the date. A GPS unit and accessories were stolen from his vehicle. The man did not report the crime when it occurred, but was reporting it now, since the Cle Elum Police Department had found his GPS during an investigation.
Thursday, Nov. 25
No Permits: At 9:47 a.m., a City of Snoqualmie employee called police about a suspicious blue Toyota pickup truck that had stopped along Snoqualmie Parkway to let the passenger get out, then parked in the Fire Department parking lot. The employee saw the passenger walk into the wood nearby and thought the two men in the truck might be attempting to poach big game. The responding officer contacted the driver, who was dressed in camouflage and had a hunting bow in the back of the truck. The driver said he did not have a hunting permit, but said his passenger did. The officers smelled marijuana and got permission to search the vehicle. They found several containers of what appeared to be marijuana, as well as smoking paraphernalia, and a pistol behind the seat of the truck. The driver said he did not have a permit to use medical marijuana, or to carry a concealed weapon, but his passenger did have the permits. He called the passenger, who returned to the truck and produced the needed permits, except one for concealed weapons. Police confiscated all of the illegal items, because they’d been left in the sole possession of the driver, who had no permits.
