Eastside Fire’s Reindeer Engine collecting food and toys for the holidays

The Eastside Fire and Rescue Reindeer Engine is visiting local cities to help non-profits and food banks. The engine, decked out with lights, music, a sleigh, and Rudolph the Reindeer strapped to the top, travels through several communities collecting unwrapped toys, food and clothing for families in need. The Reindeer Engine will visit North Bend from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10; Carnation Hopelink from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16; Carnation from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22; and North Bend's city tree lighting from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 23.

Non-perishable food items or a new unwrapped toy can be dropped off at any Eastside Fire & Rescue staffed fire station. EFR works with HopeLink, the Mockingbird Society, the Mount Si Food Bank, Encompass of North Bend and the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank to help families in need throughout the holiday season.
