Residents can get rid of any nasty, grimy chemicals they’ve got lying around when the King County’s Wastemobile comes to town this month.

Residents can get rid of any nasty, grimy chemicals they’ve got lying around when the King County’s Wastemobile comes to town this month.

The mobile hazardous waste collection center visits 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Aug. 22 to 24, at Snoqualmie Elementary School, 39801 S.E. Park Street.

The Wastemobile can take paint, propane tanks, pesticides, and other household hazardous materials.

There is a 30 gallon gasoline limit, and pre-approval is required for quantities over 50 gallons, containers over five gallons in size, and any unusual wastes. Participants are asked to secure their loads. No latex paint will be accepted.
