Do you, your family members, friends, coworkers, neighbors want to explore ideas on “going green” here in Snoqualmie Valley.

The Northwest Earth Institute has designed several discussion courses to assist community groups in doing just that.

Valley residents can learn about Northwest Earth Institute discussion courses at an introductory presentation, 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 14 at the Snoqualmie Library, 7824 Center Blvd. S.E.

Course topics include raising healthy children, exploring deep ecoloogy, the future of food, global warming, voluntary simplicity and more. Courses are run by participants and are based on readings drawn from a variety of authors and sources. This introductory session will provide background on NWEI and information on how to start a group.

The Northwest Earth Institute aims to create fundamental change in Western culture. NWEI programs encourage individuals and organizations to protect ecological systems and provide the resources to enable small groups to take action in local communities.
