Auction items are stacking up for an upcoming benefit in memory of a Snoqualmie teen who died of lung cancer in March.

Mount Si High School freshman Morgan Penry will be remembered at the benefit, planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at the Sno-Valley Eagles club.

The Eagles memorial will include a potluck dinner and auction to help the Penry family. The band Bad Alibi will reunite for a benefit show at 5 p.m. Auctions of donated items are planned for 6 and 7:30 p.m.

Items up for bid in the auction include a bass guitar worth $3,000, handcrafted items such as a wooden clock and glass window, gift certificates to area businesses and restaurants and a cord of wood.

Donations may also be made to account no. 26539 at Sno Falls Credit Union.

Penry died Thursday, March 12, after a month-long fight with lung cancer. An obituary in Cat Tales, the high school’s student newspaper, remembered her as a loving person with a joy for life.

Penry is survived by her father, Jason, her mother, Heather, her brother, Byron, and her sister, Jordan.
