The city of Snoqualmie's Civil Service Commission has an opening for a new commissioner. To be considered, the new member must have resided within Snoqualmie city limits for at least one year immediately preceding such appointment. Applications must be submitted by June 18. They are available on the city website at www.cityofsnoqualmie.org in the “Public Participation” box. Applications may be hand delivered to Snoqualmie City Hall at 38624 SE River Street, or mailed to Tiah Branson, P.O. Box 987, Snoqualmie, Washington, 98065.

The Civil Service Commission consists of five members appointed by the Mayor, subject to confirmation by City Council, who serve six-year terms. The commission administers the civil service rules, including but not limited to, hiring and disciplinary proceedings for the fire and police departments of the City of Snoqualmie.

Members meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Snoqualmie Fire Department, 37600 Snoqualmie Parkway SE.
