Snoqualmie hosts residential recycling day, Sept. 16, at Centennial Fields

The city of Snoqualmie is hosting a free residential recycling event, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16 at Centennial Fields Park, 39903 SE Park Street in Snoqualmie. Open to all King County residents, the event will accept materials ranging from small appliances and reusable clothes to refrigerators, motor oil, and computer CPUs.

Non-perishable food items will be accepted during the event for donation to the local food bank.

Residents can drop off their appliances, scrap metal, fluorescent bulbs, electronics, yard waste, petroleum products, tires, batteries and reusable items from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A list of what will and will not be accepted at the recycling event is posted on the city website, www.cityofsnoqualmie.org, below “Events & Activities.”

Residents are also invited to bring up to three grocery bags or two copy paper-sized boxes of residential records such as bank statements, ATM receipts, and old tax records for on-site shredding. This service is offered by Shred-It, which is a bonded company.
