Snoqualmie firefighters planning another pancake feast for Railroad Days

It’s August, which means that Railroad Days — and the Snoqualmie Firefighters Association annual pancake breakfast — isn’t far away. The event is set for 7 to 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 19 at the Snoqualmie Fire Station, 37600 SE Snoqualmie Parkway.

Enjoy a firefighter-cooked pancake and ham breakfast along with Krispy Kreme donuts, orange juice, and coffee, all served up in the apparatus and equipment bay at the fire station. Breakfast is $5 for adults, $3 for kids ages 5 to 12, and free for those under age 5.

The association will sell raffle tickets for a variety of prizes and there will be a silent auction for such items as a golfing foursome at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge, an overnight stay for two at the Salish Lodge &Spa, and a half-day at DirtFish Rally School.

Families can meet the Snoqualmie Fire Department firefighters and emergency medical technicians and take photos on the emergency vehicles. The association will also be selling T-shirts and bike helmets.

Continuing in its green tradition, the Snoqualmie Firefighters Association is planning to have a little or no-waste event this year. Everything will be served on recyclable or compostable items.
