Riverview forms partnership to give all students access to KCLS resources

Riverview School District has formed a new partnership with King County Library System (KCLS), to increase student access to library resources.

As of Dec. 5, KCLS will create special library accounts for all students in the Riverview District so they can seamlessly log in from school, home or from any device. The student accounts will be based on students’ school ID numbers, preceded by the district number, 407.

Students will be able to use KCLSdatabases, downloadable materials and online homework help services from KCLS without needing a physical card. They won’t accrue fines, since all of the material they will have access to is electronic.

Those students who already have traditional KCLS library cards can continue to use their cards to check out materials and use in-library computers, too.

Additionally, teachers throughout the district will be able to utilize the resources available through KCLS to complement their curriculum and build students’ experience and expertise utilizing library resources.

The program will create accounts for every district student, K-12.
