The hills will be alive with world-class music during the first Snoqualmie Valley Festival of Music, to be held this summer.

Acts including the new Vardi Chamber Players, Cascade Jazz Quintet and the 60-strong Voices of the Valley chorus will perform during the festival, Aug. 7 and 8, at Mountain Meadows Farm, 10106 422nd Lane S.E., North Bend.

Food and drink will be served, and free parking is available. Tickets start at $20 through www.brownpapertickets.com.
