Reggie Garrett dinner concert set to raise funds for new mobile stage in Duvall

Friends of DCC (the Duvall Cultural Commission) are fundraising for a new mobile stage for Duvall, with a dinner and concert, featuring Reggie Garrett and The Snake Oil Peddlers, plus Cool Water. The event starts at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 24 at Kokopelli Gardens, 14520 284th Ave NE, Duvall.

Based in Seattle, Reggie Garrett performs a mix of original songs, pop covers, and traditional style folk ballads. He has an urban strain of acoustic music with strong rhythmic underpinnings that blend diverse influences, including folk, Latin rhythms, blues, gospel, Celtic, rock, and jazz. Duvall old timers may remember Reggie from his performing days at the Silver Spoon Restaurant. Find out more about Reggie Garrett’s band at: http://www.reggiegarrett.com.

Cool Water is the due of Brooke Pennock and Wendy McDowell, two experienced singer-songwriters who share a love of songwriting and Americana roots rock. Their songs contain original slice-of-life lyrics paired with a pop sensibility and soulful, layered harmonies. The duo has played at Duvall’s Sandblast, too. The 21-and-over evening includes a chicken dinner and no-host bar. Tickets are $35 in advance, $40 at the door. Purchase tickets at BrownPaperTickets.com.
