Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund receives large donation from 100 Women Who Care – Greater Snoqualmie Valley

Last week, the 100 Women Who Care – Snoqualmie Valley Chapter meet for its quarterly meeting and voted to support the Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund this quarter, with a donation of almost $14,000.

The group of more than 100 women meets every quarter, and each member donates $100 to raise awareness for a charity that benefits the community. Dawn Harper and Heidi Hendricks nominated the benevolent fund for the donation.

Eastside Firefighters Local 2878 started the Eastside Firefighters Benevolent Fund, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, to provide relief to people suffering from poverty, homelessness, and other needs in the communities served by Eastside Firefighters. These communities include Eastside Fire & Rescue, Fall City Fire, Duvall Fire, and Snoqualmie Fire Department. The Benevolent Fund can also provide relief for firefighters and their families in financial difficulties due to an emergency situation or disaster.

The Dec. 6 donation is is one of the largest that Eastside Fire Fighters Benevolent Fund has received.
