Creative minds: Snoqualmie’s “Finally Friday” art walk is this week

The Snoqualmie Arts Commission holds its next Art Walk, "Finally Friday," 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 28, in downtown Snoqualmie. More than 95 artists will take part. Mount Si Artist Guild works will be up for display and sale. There will be art demos, live music and performances, and refreshment.

Planned are musicians, refreshments, artists, demonstrations and art throughout Historic Snoqualmie and the empty storefronts.Art at City Hall and Chamber of Commerce includes works by Mount Si students). The space above the Candy Factory—dubbed the “The Artist Loft”—will have members of Mount Si Artist Guild showing, selling and doing demonstrations,”Down the Road,” a local bluegrass trio, will play outside of The Black Dog, once again, and John Tubbs will be painting there as well. A number of artists will be positioned across Historic Snoqualmie, painting. Mount Si student performers will be singing and doing live shows.

Future art walks are planned on July 26. A new Snoqualmie Arts Market is also in the works, opening July 26 at Railroad Park.
