Thank you, voters, for Snoqualmie school levy support

We are extremely grateful to the community for supporting the school district levy propositions earlier this month. By supporting and passing these propositions on February 11, Snoqualmie Valley voters have once again chosen to make an investment in this community, in their schools, and in all children.

We are extremely grateful to the community for supporting the school district levy propositions earlier this month. By supporting and passing these propositions on February 11, Snoqualmie Valley voters have once again chosen to make an investment in this community, in their schools, and in all children.

Renewal of the two levy propositions was very important, as they make available a stable and predictable source of funding for the school district over the next four years. These levy funds provide for a substantial part of our school district’s budget, filling the gap between what is provided by the state, and what is actually necessary to sustain the educational program for the students in our schools.

The benefits of a stellar school system are enjoyed by home owners, parents, community patrons, and the business community. Most importantly, these propositions will sustain a significant portion of the funding necessary to help our schools ensure all students are fully prepared for college, careers, and citizenship.

On behalf of the young people of our community, I thank you for supporting the levy propositions and the schools of the Snoqualmie Valley.

Joel Aune, Superintendent,

Snoqualmie Valley School District
