Letters | Our property, stolen and found

We would like to commend the North Bend Sheriff’s Office and particularly Deputy Shaman Wicklund for the great service in recovering our stolen property. We reported our bicycle stolen Tuesday and it was returned to us Thursday. The fast results were due to the excellent activity of Deputy Wicklund. He is very experienced and knowledgeable in the North Bend community, so was able to track down the bike very quickly.

He is very experienced and knowledgeable in the North Bend community, so was able to track down the bike very quickly.

We also appreciated the positive and helpful attitude he displayed, giving information and advice on how to deal with and avoid this happening again. What could have been very traumatic was turned into a good learning experience. It also reinforced the appreciation we have for those who serve and protect this community (It makes one wonder why this fine police department is being replaced.)
