Initiative is back-door tax

While Bill Gates, Sr., is telling everyone in his TV ad that I-1098 is good for Washington and will only impact the very wealthy, that’s really not the case.

I-1098 is just a sneaky way through the back door on establishing a state income tax that all of us Washington residents will have to pay in time

I-1100 will not only have a negative impact on Washington state revenue and our state’s wine industry. It will also line the pockets of big corporations like Costco and Walmart while public saftey is put at greater risk.

Everyone should remember that while Costco was collecting signatures to get I-1100 on the November ballot, at the same time they refused to help collect signatures for another initiative that supported mandatory abduction prevention training in all Washington state public school PE classes.

If approved by voters, this initaitive would have given all of our state’s children and teenagers a fighting chance against all of the Level 3 Sex Offenders roaming the streets of our communities right now.
