Happy Birthday, Mrs. Scott (“Happy Hundred, Irene,” Valley Record, May 26). What a joyous occasion for you and your family and all of your many friends who will gather with you to celebrate your special day.

I went to school with Charlie and of course loved Mr. Scott as my chorus teacher for all four years of high school. He was one of my favorites.

Now living in Palm Desert, California, I won’t be able to attend your party, but really want to send my best wishes for continued health and happiness.
