Brains, not beer, gets Pritchard recognition

Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Company Brewer and General Manager Janelle Pritchard has been appointed to represent Washington beer producers on the Washington Beer Commission. .

Her appointment, through October 2012, comes from the State of Washington Department of Agriculture who states that her service as a commissioner will contribute to the success of the beer industry in Washington and to the growth and vitality of the state’s agriculture in general.

“It’s vital to the local economy and beer lovers that Washington’s brewing industry continue to prosper,” Pritchard stated after receiving the appointment. “I’m excited that I get to play such an central part in the success of the beer industry — not just as a brewer and beer lover, but also in the framework of the industry.”

Pritchard has been the assistant brewer at Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Company since 2002. She was appointed general manager of the brewery in 2008 and is currently holding her second term as a member of the Washington Brewer’s Guild Executive Committee where she lobbies for brewer’s interests, education and support for the industry.
