Steve and Susan Weigel take extra pride in North Bend Montessori school.

Not only did the couple found the school, but Susan oversees the operations and Steve revamped the two school’s two buildings – a preschool facility and a kindergarten through elementary facility – by himself.

About 160 families send their child or children to North Bend Montessori School.

Susan said she has high expectations for the students that attend the school. Susan has received both her primary and elementary training in Montessori education. She said she feels that it is important that children are given every opportunity for a great foundation to their education that they can use throughout their lives.
