SNOQUALMIE – Adair Truman has left the restaurant business to become a princess.
“I’m telling everyone I’m leaving to become a princess since I guess that’s what everyone thinks you do when you retire,” said Truman, the longtime, and now former, owner of Adair’s On The Green.
Since August of 1994, Truman has owned the restaurant at the Mount Si Golf Course. In her tenure running the restaurant, she has built a loyal following of regular customers who have joked that she has always been a princess, but have never denied she is one of the warmest personalities in the area.
“There is no one in the Valley with a bigger heart than Adair,” said Susan Hankins, who has worked with Truman in the past on various Valley community projects.
Truman said she started seriously thinking about retiring the past few years. She said she staved off retirement with thoughts of additional promotions and projects she would like to try at her restaurant, but when an opportunity came up to sell, she couldn’t turn it down.
