Snoqualmie-North Bend Police
Saturday, Feb. 13
Malicious mischief: At 9:40 a.m., a caller reported that someone had keyed their car, parked in the38000 block of S.E. King Street, Snoqualmie. The total damage to the car was about $250.
Noise complaint: At 7:18 p.m., police received a report of a loud generator sound coming from a house on Schusman Avenue S.E. and S.E. Epsilon Street in Snoqualmie. Police found two generators and told the subjects to shut them down.
Reckless driving: At 11:03 p.m., police got a report of an erratic driver in the 300 block of W. North BendWay, North Bend. Police followed the vehicle, but saw no violations. They contacted the driver at a gas station and saw no indications that he was impaired.
Sunday, Feb. 14
Suspicious: At 12:16 p.m., police received a call about a man covered with a garbage bag, sleeping in front of the North Bend Library. An officer contacted the man who said he was trying to stay out of therain. He was cooperative and moved to another location.
Monday, Feb. 15
Suspicious circumstances: At 7:13 a.m., police got a call reporting a burned trash can on the 34000 block of S.E. Stellar Way, Snoqualmie. The suspect is unknown.
Tuesday, Feb. 16
Road hazard: At 6:37 a.m., police were notified that two black horses ran into traffic near the Nursery atMount Si off Ballarat Avenue in North Bend. The owner of the horses was contacted and the horses were walked back to their pasture.
Wednesday, Feb. 17
Drug Problem: At 9:46 a.m., an employee of a business in the 700 block of S.W. Mount Si Boulevard,North Bend, called police to report finding drug paraphernalia in the restroom. Officers disposed of the items.
Thursday, Feb. 18
Theft: At 3:05 p.m., the theft of $400 worth of miscellaneous items from a front yard on Maple AvenueS.E., Snoqualmie was reported. The victim later found their property located at an antique store in Snoqualmie, and had it returned to them.
Solicitors: At 6:29 p.m., an aggressive and rude solicitor on S.E. Ninth Street was reported to police. The caller said the solicitor walked toward Eighth Street. Police did not find him.
Fall City Fire Department
Friday, Feb. 12
Losing consciousness: At 8:21 a.m., firefighters responded to the 2400 block of 270 Ave S.E. to assist a69-year-old man who was suffering from a decreased level of consciousness. They stabilized him at the scene and transported him to a local hospital in the Fall City aid car.
Cramping: At 11:39 p.m., the department was called to the 36000 block of S.E. Fish Hatchery Road to assist a 58-year-old man experiencing uncontrolled body cramps. He was treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital.
Saturday, Feb. 13
False alarm: At 11:51 a.m., firefighters responded to the 4900 block of 335th Ave S.E. for an activated carbon monoxide alarm. They found that the batteries were dead and the air was clear. They replaced the batteries, tested the alarm, and left the home.
Sunday, Feb. 14
Collision: At 6:49 p.m., the department was dispatched to a two-vehicle crash in the 29200 block of S.E.Redmond-Fall City Rd. There were two patients at the scene. Firefighters treated them and transported one to an area hospital.
Tuesday, Feb. 16
Fire: At 9 a.m., the department responded to the 14100 block of 298 Ave N.E. with the water tender toassist Duvall Fire with a fully involved structure fire.
Wednesday, Feb. 17
Dementia: At 7:29 p.m., firefighters responded to the 30800 block of S.E. 40th St to assist a 93-year-old woman suffering from dementia. She was treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital.
Snoqualmie Fire
Thursday, Feb. 11
Vehicle fire: At 2:48 p.m., Snoqualmie and EFR firefighters responded to a motor home fire in the eastbound lanes of Interstate-90 near milepost 43. EFR crews asked Snoqualmie to bring water. Snoqualmie firefighters supplied water and discovered an uncontrolled leak in the vehicle’s propane system, causing the gas to vent into the air and prompting a call for additional firefighting resources.The Snoqualmie department assisted with putting out the fire and cleaning up the scene
Friday, Feb. 12
Just dust: At 2:13 p.m., the department was called to the River Street offices for an automatic fire alarm.Construction workers on the site said they’d been sanding on the second floor. Firefighters found thatthe alarm’s detectors had not been taped off and were triggered by heavy dust in the area. OVERSETFOLLOWS:They ventilated the area and advised the workers to tape the detectors.
Sunday, Feb. 14
Gas odor: At 6:27 p.m., the Snoqualmie fire station received a report of a gas smell inside a home.Firefighters arrived and could detect no natural gas odor and no readings on their detector. The residents said they’d aired out the exterior closet with the water heater, where they had first noticed thes mell, along with a popping sound. Firefighters turned off the gas to the radiant heater and water tank and advised the residents to call a technician for an inspection.
Tuesday, Feb. 16
Oven fire: At 4:16 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were called to a home on S.E. Cedar Street, where a fire had started in an oven in self-cleaning mode. The homeowner evacuated the house and told firefighters she was later able to turn the oven off, which seemed to solve the problem. They investigated the home and determined that the fire had not spread, but the oven appeared to be damaged from the homeowner’s attempts to open the door. They advised her to have it repaired before using the oven again.
Wednesday, Feb. 17
Burnt toast: At 6:50 a.m., the department was dispatched to a fire alarm at the Snoqualmie Valley SchoolDistrict Administration Office building. Firefighters found the building evacuated, but no sign of fire. An employee reported that someone had set off the alarm while making toast and there was no fire.
Medical aid: In addition, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 10 medical incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 111.
