A 34-year-old woman died after a hit-and-run in Snoqualmie, where other cars subsequently ran her over as well.
According to the King County Medical Examiner’s Office, 34-year-old Amanda Louise Lange died Oct. 12 on the roadway at SE. North Bend Way, just east of Winery Road, in Snoqualmie. Her cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries, and her manner of death was an accident.
According to King County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Brandyn Hull, this incident was a fatal hit-and-run. Hull said the incident was a car-pedestrian collision, where the driver failed to remain on the scene.
Hull said investigators believe several other cars subsequently ran over Lange. However, Hull said someone did call in to report this incident, which is how deputies were dispatched to the scene, alongside the fire crews and the Washington State Patrol.
Hull said the collision is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office’s Major Accident Response and Reconstruction Unit. Hull said officers have not made any arrests. She added that, as this case is still under investigation, this is all the information available to release.
“If a driver ever suspects hitting someone or something they should definitely call 911 so our investigators can get to the site and ensure other drivers aren’t put in danger,” Hull said.
The public can call the non-emergency number if they have information to share at 206-296-3311.
