Snoqualmie Valley Sunflower Festival grows in third year

The Snoqualmie Valley Sunflower Festival begins its third year Aug. 15, and it’s bigger than ever before.
Started by the Carnation Chamber of Commerce, the Sunflower Festival is now organized in partnership with the Duvall Chamber of Commerce and the North Bend Downtown Foundation. The event invites guests to visit various farms across the Valley, both for sunflowers and other goods.
“It’s a sunny way to bring people to the Valley,” said Erin Barzen, vice president of the Carnation Chamber of Commerce.
This year, the festival’s mission statement is “Growing Together and Deepening Roots: Cultivating appreciation of farming, arts and culture of the Snoqualmie Valley through a celebration of sunflowers.”
Barzen said the goal is to encourage people to return to the Valley throughout the year — for flowers, u-pick produce, pumpkins, Christmas trees and more.
The 2026 festival map — at carnationchamber.org/snoqualmie-valley-sunflower-festival — includes farms from North Bend through Monroe. The Sunflower Festival website also includes information about how to become a vendor, sponsor or volunteer.
Those wanting to support the festival can purchase a t-shirt or custom sunflower window decal. New this year, festival organizers are also selling a calendar with photos each month of local sunflower fields.
Through Sept. 14, visitors can go on a quest to find the festival’s mascot, Sunny, at participating farms. Spot Sunny to get a sticker; collect six stickers to win a prize. Collect all 12 stickers for an entry into the grand prize drawing. For more information and to print out a sticker board, visit the festival website.
Sunflower Saturdays
There will be two special days during the festival: Sunflower Saturday in Duvall and Carnation. Each event is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes a vendor village, a raffle and special offers at local businesses.
Sunflower Saturday in Duvall is Aug. 29 at Muddy Boots farm. Sunflower Saturday in Carnation is Sept. 12 at Tolt Commons.
