Caregivers begin their first lap in the 2013 Snoqualmie Valley Relay for Life

Snoqualmie Valley Relay for Life is Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 13, at North Bend’s Torguson Park.

Organizers are still seeking teams, participants and support. Learn how to join a team and walk in the relay at Snovalleyrelay.org.

Beautiful Lengths, formerly known as Locks of Love, will be at the Relay from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday. People are welcomed to donate eight-inch lengths of hair to make a wig for a cancer survivor.

Valley residents who have lost a loved one to cancer can make a luminaria lantern to remember that special person. There will be a booth at the relay to create the lanterns. They can also be ordered and picked up prior to the event by contacting Snoqualmie.relay@gmail.com.

Also planned are entertainment, food and activities.
