Fall City family comes together to care for mom

Taking a break from worrying about the cancer that her daughter is fighting, Fall City mother Tara Zeabin just wanted to relax and have some fun with 8-year-old Sierra.

However, Tara was struck Nov. 7 with a normally-deadly blood vessel burst, and family members and her physician say she’s lucky to be alive.

Tara suffered a splenic artery aneurysm Wednesday, Nov. 7, while attending the Disney Princesses on Ice performance at the Everett Events Center courtesy of the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, which helps children deal with serious medical issues.

Daughter’s cancer

Tara’s 8-year-old daughter Sierra has dealt with cancer of the liver since 2000.

Sierra was a healthy, happy baby, and still is, aside from the hepatoblastoma, which normally appears in children between and 15 years old. The cancer has been in remission for six years, but Sierra has been dealing with a number of complications and was diagnosed earlier this year with a secondary cancer that attacked her intestines.
