FALL CITY – Jilaina Benedict will have some pretty sweet wheels when she turns 16.
The Fall City 12-year-old recently won a red, 1965 Ford Mustang convertible when her mother mailed in an entry form to a contest that came with a video cassette for the movie “Getting There.”
The movie stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson as twin sisters who are given a 1965 Mustang for their 16th birthday. They decide to drive to Utah to attend the Winter Olympics, but end up having their car stolen. Other transportation mishaps also occur but the sisters finally end up in Salt Lake City in time for the Olympics and do end up getting their car back.
Those who purchased the “Getting There” video were given a chance to enter to win the Mustang from the movie. Jilaina filled out the card but had her mother, Ann Benedict, sign it since the winner had to be 17 or over.
“I colored the envelope and everything to make it stick out,” said Jilaina, who owns just about every Olson twins movie.
