Wildcats fall to Anchorage

Mount Si participated in a non-league wrestling event by hosting South Anchorage before the holiday break. The Wildcats had a tough time with their opponents from up north, losing 30-43.

At 103 pounds, Kyle Heath won by pin at the 3:48 mark of the second round. At 112 pounds, Jacob Lund lost by major decision, 15-1. At 119 pounds, Joe Taklo lost a close match, 5-6. Mike Montgomery was pinned by his South Anchorage opponent in the 125-pound class at the 1:33 mark of the first round.

Dan Wright, Jordan Sypher and Jay Dochnal won by forfeit at the 130-, 135- and 140-pound classes, respectively.

Tyler O’Brian lost by pin in the 145-pound class at the 42 second mark of the first round. Mac Donnel lost a close match 6-8 at 152 pounds for Mount Si. Derreck Hanneman won his match 6-5 at 160 pounds for the Wildcats but teammate Pano Dreves lost his match at 171 pounds, 2-3.

Jack Stinnett fell by pin at the 2:26 mark of the second round for Mount Si and Dex Moetulvi lost by decision in the 215-pound class, 1-8.

Finally, the power house, Trevor Moore, won by forfeit in the 275-pound and under class.
