The Snoqualmie Tribe will host a book lecture by esteemed tribal lawyer and author Walter Echo-Hawk, 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 at the Snoqualmie Casino. Copies of his books will be available for sale, and he will autograph books following the event.
As a Native American rights attorney since 1973, Echo-Hawk’s career spans the pivotal years when tribes reclaimed their land, and sovereignty. This spring, the Tribe helped to bring him to Lewis and Clark College Law School in Portland as a visiting professor. Echo-Hawk taught two courses on campus while at Lewis and Clark this past quarter.
The event is free and open to the public.
