UPPER VALLEY – Preserving Tollgate Farm as open space was an important part of establishing a natural connection for wildlife from the Snoqualmie Tree Farm and Mount Si Natural Resources Conservation Area to the north to the Rattlesnake Mountain Scenic Area to the south.

Because of that, Tollgate Farm was one of the stops for an annual tour conducted by the Snoqualmie Watershed Forum on Wednesday, July 10.

The forum, which provides grant money to projects involving the Snoqualmie River and its tributaries and is working to help develop a response to chinook salmon being listed as an endangered species, is made up of representatives from North Bend to Duvall.
