Fred Nystrom was recently named executive director of Life Enrichment Options (LEO), a community-based nonprofit that advocates for and assists individuals with developmental disabilities.

Nystrom has an extensive background in media and fundraising with both nonprofit organizations and businesses. He also has a 30-year history of involvement with the Rotary Club of Issaquah, and has held offices at both the club and district levels.

In the Valley, LEO hosts the Challenge Series races every September.

The addition of an executive director will allow LEO to create greater organizational structure and increase its ability to serve its clients.

The organization was founded 25 years ago when five moms of children with disabilities came together with the purpose of creating opportunities for their children to fully participate in the community. Learn more at www.lifeenrichmentoptions.org.
