SNOQUALMIE VALLEY – Bill Weber of North Bend stepped down from the board of commissioners of King County Fire Protection District 38 earlier this month citing philosophical differences with other commissioners.

Weber finished his tenure one year short of completing the six-year term he was elected to five years ago. He told the District 38 board of commissioners of his retirement last month, but outlined the reasons in a letter he sent last week.

In his letter, Weber said his resignation stems from “fundamental philosophical differences” between him and the two other fire district commissioners, Steve Parsons and Ron Pedee.
