Mount Si GC announces
two holes-in-one
Over August and September, two golfers at Mount Si Golf Course
recorded holes-in-one.
The first came on Sunday, Aug. 15, when Dave Skidmore of Tucson,
Ariz., used a 5-iron to ace the cup on the 184-yard eleventh hole. The
second occured on Sunday, Sept. 26, when Snoqualmie’s Bill Whitaker used
a pitching wedge to one-stroke the 122-yard fourth hole.
According to Whitaker, it was his first hole-in-one in 40 years of
playing golf.
Girls basketball tournaments set
The Youth Coaches Series will be holding the first of its
tournaments Nov. 5-7 at Juanita High School for girls’ teams in grades five, six,
seven, eight, JV and varsity high school, and select JV and varsity teams. The
entry fee is $150 per team, and the deadline to enter is Oct. 29.
