Nighttime military exercises held tonight near North Bend

The Washington State Fire Training Academy will conduct night-time military training at the Washington State Fire Training Academy east of North Bend tonight, May 8. Related noises may be heard during the evening, especially around 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. as two to three helicopters arrive and depart from the academy grounds.

The Washington State Fire Training Academy will conduct night-time military training at the Washington State Fire Training Academy east of North Bend tonight, May 8. Related noises may be heard during the evening, especially around 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. as two to three helicopters arrive and depart from the academy grounds.

The academy is located off I-90 near exit 38. Residents are warned that there will be no viewing vantage points for the training, and are asked to try to reach the academy, which will be closed off. There is no concern for public safety.
