Blotter: Movers get lost in Snoqualmie; bold hot tubbers get loud

Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following calls:

Sunday, April 5

Suspicious: At 1:02 a.m., a caller notified police that  an abandoned blue Ford, was in a ditch off the roadway near the West North Bend Way and Southeast 106th Place intersection, North Bend. The lights were still on inside the truck, but the owner was nowhere to be found. The vehicle was impounded.

Monday, April 6

Suspicious: At 10:59 a.m., police received a call that four people drove up in a white van to a home in the 34000 block of Southeast Curtis Drive, Snoqualmie, with boxes and tape, as if they were going to help someone move. Police contacted the suspects and found they were employees from an out-of-town moving company and were lost.

Theft: At 10:29 p.m., two teens attempted to steal energy drinks and candy from a business in the 400 block of East North Bend Way, North Bend. An employee saw the teenagers put the stolen goods in their backpacks, which they tried to leave in the store when they noticed the employee watching. The teenagers were confronted and waited with police for their parents to pick them up. No charges were filed.

Tuesday, April 7

Suspicious: At 10:06 a.m., a caller reported there was a man carrying multiple hammers and bags hanging around a business for an hour in the 400 block of East North Bend Way, North Bend. Police had contacted him earlier; no crime occurred.

Wednesday, April 8

Theft: At 9:33 p.m., an employee for a business in the 400 block of East North Bend Way, North Bend, reported a theft. The suspect left in a silver Landrover and the employees gave the police his license plate information. Police found the suspect and the stolen health and beauty items; he was arrested for theft and an outstanding warrant.

Friday, April 10

Suspicious: At 2:51 p.m., a caller reported two suspects were possibly trying to break into an abandoned house in the 200 block of East Second Street, North Bend. The caller said it appeared as if the two men were trying to remove the boards from the blocked garage door entrance. Police found no signs of forced entry.

Saturday, April 11

Noise complaint: At 2:13 a.m., a caller reported a noise complaint from a hot tub party in the 34000 block of Southeast Kinsey Street, Snoqualmie. Police advised the party to keep it down and they complied. The reporting person called back and stated she didn’t think the party lived there, but they were gone when police returned.

Friday, April 10

Anxiety: At 2 a.m., firefighters assisted a 74-year-old woman who was experiencing general weakness and anxiety. They took her to a local hospital.

Sick child: At 7:20 a.m., the department received a report of a 6-year-old girl who was vomiting blood. Firefighters rushed the girl to a Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Strange feeling: At 5:50 p.m., the department assisted a 49-year-old woman who was feeling strange after consuming a marijuana product. She was taken to a local hospital.

Chest pain: At 11:33 p.m., firefighters received a report of a 30-year-old woman who was experiencing chest pain. They evaluated the patient and decided to contact medics for further evaluation and transport to a hospital.

Saturday, April 11

Stranded cat: At 11:40 a.m., firefighters were called to assist a cat that was stuck in a tree. The department was unable to reach the cat, which had climbed too high.

Motorcycle crash: At 12:02 p.m., firefighters were called to a two-motorcycle collision near the intersection of S.R. 202 and 203. Snoqualmie Fire also responded and assisted with the care of two patients, who were taken to local hospitals.

Weakness: at 1:59 p.m., firefighters assisted a 74-year-old woman who was experiencing general weakness. They took her to a hospital.

Sunday, April 12

Illegal burn: At 2:59 p.m., Fall City Fire received a report of illegal burning in a back yard on 332nd Avenue Southeast. Firefighters put out the flames and spoke with the homeowner.

Bicycle accident: At 3:06 p.m., firefighters from Fall City and Eastside Fire and Rescue were called to the Duthie Hill Bike Park, where a 48-year-old man injured his shoulder in a bicycle accident. They took the patient to a local hospital.

Monday, April 13

Barn fire: At 2:37 a.m., crews from Fall City, Eastside Fire and Rescue, Redmond, and Duvall responded for a barn fire. The fire was brought under control and eventually extinguished. Several animals died in the fire, but firefighter were able to save several others.

Dizziness: At 6:44 a.m., the department was called to assist a 41-year-old woman who was experiencing dizziness and abdominal pain. The patient was taken to a local hospital.

Weakness: At 10:40 p.m., firefighters assisted for a 92-year-old woman who was experiencing weakness and vision problems, by taking her to a local hospital.

Tuesday, April 14

Road debris: At 10:30 a.m., firefighters received a report that a beaver dam had ruptured, causing water and debris to spill onto Issaquah-Fall City Road Southeast, and several private driveways. The road was undamaged, and firefighters cleared the debris to re-open the road.

Friday, April 10

Accident: At 10:03 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded with Eastside Fire & Rescue to a single-vehicle accident on I‚Äê90 westbound near milepost 24. Crews extricated three patients and transported them to the hospital.

Sunday, April 12

Chimney fire: At 3:19 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded with Eastside Fire & Rescue for a reported chimney fire. Crews found the fire contained to the chimney.

Medical aid: In addition, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 11 medical incidents bringing the total number of calls to date to 343.
