He’s a winner of the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition and has performed on the “Martin Short Show” and NBC’s “Friday Night” and “Later.”

And for one night on Thursday, Aug. 29, comedian Don Friesen will take the stage at the North Bend Theatre in a performance to benefit Children’s Services of Sno-Valley (CSSV).

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10. The North Bend Theatre is located at 125 Bendigo Blvd.

“We’re excited to host a fun-filled evening with high-caliber entertainment,” said John Stout, executive director of CSSV. “It’s an opportunity to bring the community together to support the services we offer to families and children, and, of course, to have a lot of laughs.”

CSSV serves children and families who live in Duvall, Carnation, Fall City, Snoqualmie and North Bend, with the mission of nurturing, educating, strengthening and supporting children and their families so that each has the opportunity and skills to reach their full potential.

Services include parenting education, family support and enrichment, preschool and birth-to-3 early intervention. The organization was founded more than 35 years ago and serves more than 2,800 families annually.
