On Sunday Oct. 18, Claire Wright of Fall City was crowned Miss Washington Teen USA 2016. The pageant is part of the Miss Universe Organization and is produced by Pageants NW.
She will attend many charity and community events, such as the Ascend Gala at Bellevue Club and the Mariner’s Toys for Kids Auction Gala, a Snoqualmie Valley Moms group March 15, and at Fall City Elementary in the near future. She will attend other state pageants as well as the Miss Universe Pageant in Las Vegas this December.
Next summer, Wright will compete for the national title at Miss Teen USA.
Of most importance to Wright is the opportunity the crown gives her to have a bigger platform for her campaign, Project Claire Bear, Preventing Bullying and Promoting Kindness. She will speak to area youth groups later this year and is planning a fundraiser to make more Bully Bears for children who have been victims of bullies, as she was.
