Train museum project appealed again

SNOQUALMIE – The Northwest Railway Museum’s effort to build a Conservation and Restoration Center (CRC) will be going before the Snoqualmie City Council.

On Aug. 4, the latest decision by a King County hearing examiner to allow the city to grant the museum the needed permits to build the CRC was appealed for the second time by the Luce and McFadden families, who both own property close to the proposed site of the CRC off Stoen Quarry Road.

At its Aug. 11 meeting, the City Council appointed Councilman Greg Fullington to preside over a Sept. 16 hearing focused on the decision. The council will have until Oct. 3 to issue a written decision, but Fullington said a decision could be made earlier.
