A bomb scare at Mount Si High School Tuesday, May 1, caused students and staff to evacuate the building. Bomb-sniffing dogs didn’t find any explosives.
“At the end of the day, this was the result of the behavior of one individual who thought it was a prank but it was not funny at all,” said Mount Si High School Principal Randy Taylor.
An investigation by Snoqualmie police and school officials is ongoing to discover the hoax perpetrator. Taylor said several leads were being developed, but declined to elaborate further.
Around noon, a student reported seeing writing scrawled in felt-tip marker on a boys’ restroom wall that stated: “A bomb will go off soon.”
