The 49th annual Fall City Day festival will return this year on June 11. The event features a fun run, parade and party in the park.

The event will begin with a 1k, 5k or 10k run at 9 a.m., with all proceeds benefiting local schools and youth groups. Art, crafts and food booths will also open at 9 a.m. That will be followed by a parade at 11 a.m. and a watermelon eating contest at 1:30 p.m.

The event will conclude with a community party in Bernard Park from 6 to 10 p.m. that will feature two bands — Miles Harris and the Deep Cuts and The Staxx Brothers. The event will also have food trucks as well as a beer and wine garden.
