The city of Duvall installed its new slate of officers, Jan. 2, including the fourth woman Mayor of Duvall, Amy Ockerlander.

Council members sworn in included: Dianne Brudnicki, a long-time councilmember and community advocate who was re-elected; Matthew Eyer and Michelle Hogg, appointed to vacancies earlier in the year and then formally elected by voters in November; and new members Amy McHenry and Jennifer Knaplund.

Not since 1932 when the then-town of Duvall elected an all-female council, four council members and Mayor Mabel Bourke, has the city had a women-majority council.

The Honorable Donna Tucker, Chief Presiding Judge for King County District Court, administered the oath of office. State Representatives from the 45th District and King County Councilmember Kathy Lambert also participated in the ceremony.
