Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following calls:Snoqualmie-North Bend Police Department
Saturday, Aug. 20
Vehicle prowl: At 1:21 p.m., police were called to Mount Si High School in Snoqualmie after a backpack was stolen from a car. A wallet and sunglasses were in the stolen backpack.
Malicious mischief: At 8:18 p.m., police received a call reporting a vehicle driving through a gate on S.E. Turnberry Street and Ardmore Avenue S.E. in Snoqualmie. Police found the driver, who had been drinking and classified the incident as a hit and run and reckless driving. Police also collected witness statements.
Malicious mischief: At 10:40 p.m., police received a call reporting that four men wearing hockey masks were vandalizing tables set up for the Boeing Classic on Eagle Lake Drive S.E. Other subjects, not wearing masks, were also reported. When police arrived, they found it was a turf war over vending spots. The unmasked subjects were guarding a spot from further vandalism. They were advised to call the police instead of taking matters into their own hands.
Monday, Aug. 22
Domestic dispute: At 8:26 p.m., a caller contacted police about his roommate, who was harassing him. When police arrived they found the roommate was the mother of the caller’s child; they calmed the argument down.
Tuesday, Aug. 23
Theft: At 9:39 p.m., police received a report that a white 1991 Ford Escort had been stolen from the 300 block of West North Bend Way, North Bend. The keys were left in the vehicle.

Thursday, Aug. 18
False alarm: At 8:53 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to the area of 466th Place S.E. for a report of smoke. The crew drove for approximately one mile until the road deteriorated and became too tight for a fire engine. They saw no signs of smoke or fire.
Broken oven: At 10:56 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to S.E. Swenson Street, Snoqualmie for an oven on fire. The homeowner said the oven had started smoking and there were flames inside, although he had not been cooking. Firefighters cut the electrical power and gas to the oven. They saw no fire, and none in the extended area check. Firefighters then pulled the oven from the wall and advised the homeowner to contact a technician for repairs.
Saturday, Aug. 20
Brush fire: At 3:16 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters and Eastside Fire & Rescue were dispatched to a brush fire on eastbound I-90. En route, Snoqualmie received a report of a motorhome fire, so while the Eastside crew dealt with the brush fire, the Snoqualmie crew continued on to a stalled motorhome. The vehicle showed no sign of smoke or fire.
Accident: At 5:10 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded with police to a reported rollover accident on S.E. Mill Pond Road, Snoqualmie. Police were already on the scene when firefighters arrived. A rolled Jeep lay on its side, off the road. All occupants were out of the vehicle and appeared uninjured. One of the subjects was a juvenile, so firefighters contacted his parents for permission for him to remain with police at the scene. They then turned the scene over to police.
Monday, Aug. 22
False alarm: At 9:36 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to the 8000 block of Bracken Place S.E., Snoqualmie, for an automatic fire alarm. The crew was met by the maintenance superintendent. All occupants were out of the building before firefighters arrived. The detector was accidentally activated by an employee on a high lift. The crew confirmed there was no fire and the alarm was accidentally set off. They then reset the alarm.
Medical aid: In addition to the above calls, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 13 medical aid incidents, bringing the total number of calls to date to 735.
Fall City Fire Department
Thursday, Aug. 18
Fight: At 8:46 p.m., Fall City firefighters were called to a bar in the 33800 block of Redmond Fall City Road S.E. to treat a 38-year-old man with facial lacerations suffered during an altercation with another person. Officers from the King County Sheriff’s Office also responded. The patient was treated on scene and then taken to a local hospital to receive stitches.
Friday, Aug. 19
Accident: At 2:35 p.m., the department was called to the intersection of Redmond-Fall City Road S.E. and S.E. Eighth Street, where a vehicle had crashed into a guardrail and had smoke coming from under the hood. Firefighters found damage to the guardrail, but no sign of the vehicle. They searched the surrounding area and notified police that if there had been an accident, the driver left the scene.
Saturday, Aug. 20
Seizure: At 7:44 a.m., Fall City firefighters were called to assist a woman in her 60s reported to be in cardiac arrest. They evaluated the woman, and determined that she was actually experiencing a seizure. They monitored her until she regained consciousness, then transported her to a local hospital.
Accident: At 7:58 p.m., firefighters were called to assist units from Eastside Fire and Rescue for a motor vehicle accident on Redmond Fall City Road S.E. near Tolt Hill Road. Two patients were evaluated for injuries on the scene and taken to a local hospital by private ambulance.
Sunday, Aug. 21
River floaters: At 7:19 p.m., the department responded to the Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course to access the Snoqualmie River, where a group of people floating down the river had gotten caught in the branches of a submerged tree. One of the floaters was momentarily pulled under the water before freeing herself. Another experienced a medical emergency and had to be carried up the steep riverbank for medical attention. Golf course personnel assisted the firefighters by providing golf carts to transport equipment and the patients. Both patients and their companions were taken to the golf course’s parking lot. One was taken to a local hospital via private ambulance, and the other refused further treatment.
