Sunday, Feb. 21
Intoxication: At 5:11 a.m., police were called to Railroad Avenue S.E. at Snoqualmie Parkway, Snoqualmie, where the Snoqualmie Fire Department was examining an intoxicated man who insisted, over his family’s objections, on walking home. The fire department said he was medically OK and could do as he liked.
Pickled: At 9:20 a.m., a caller in the W. Crest View Loop, Snoqualmie, reported that someone had vandalized his car, spilling a jar of pickles over it and covering it with toilet paper. The caller told police there was no damage to the vehicle, and he was going to go wash it.
Monday, Feb. 22
Road rage: At 6:30 p.m., police received a report of a reckless driver making threatening gestures and driving aggressively in the area of Meadowbrook Way S.E. and Ethan Wade Way S.E., Snoqualmie. The caller said the subject, driving a green PT Cruiser, had been tailgating and, when the caller stopped at a light, the driver, a white man in his 30s wearing a baseball cap, had pulled alongside and made a gun gesture with his thumb and forefinger, pointing at the caller. The driver then tried to force the caller off the road in an effort to pass, and, once ahead of the caller, repeatedly stepped on the brakes. The aggressive driver was gone when police arrived.
Tuesday, Feb. 23
Animal problem: At 7:31 p.m., a caller on Hancock Avenue S.E., Snoqualmie, reported that something, possibly a large animal, had pulled his grill around to the side of his house. The caller said he could still hear scratching on the side of the house. Police did not locate any animal.
Theft: At 10:13 p.m., a caller on W. North Bend Way, North Bend, reported that a 21-speed Giant mountain bike had been stolen.
Thursday, Feb. 25
Beer theft: At 1:04 p.m., a store manager in the 400 block of S.W. Mount Si Boulevard, North Bend, reported that an 18 year-old boy in a baseball hat had just stolen some beer from the store. The manager said he’d confronted the boy, who set the beer down on another car and fled. Police went to the suspect’s home and spoke with family members about the incident.
Friday, Feb. 26
Transient: At 4:29 p.m., a caller reported seeing a homeless man sleeping behind a fence on Cortland Avenue S.E., Snoqualmie. An officer contacted the man and drove him to the winter shelter.

Thursday, Feb. 25
Faint: At 2:15 p.m., firefighters from Snoqualmie and Fall City were dispatched to a vehicle that had pulled to the side of Preston-Fall City Road S.E. between Preston and Fall City. A man had reportedly become faint and unresponsive. He was evaluated and taken to a local hospital via private ambulance for further treatment.
Sunday, Feb. 28
Heart trouble: At 2:16, the Fall City department was dispatched to downtown Fall City to assist a 74-year-old man who was experiencing an irregular heartbeat. Bellevue Fire medics evaluated the man and took him to a local hospital for treatment.
Monday, Feb. 29
Low blood sugar: At 10:10 p.m., firefighters and EMTS assisted a 65-year-old woman who was experiencing low blood sugar. She was given oral glucose. When her blood sugar increased to an acceptable level the crew left her at home with instructions to call 911 if her symptoms returned.
Tuesday, March 1
Assault: At 9:23 a.m., King County Sheriff’s officers called the Fall City department to an assault scene, where a victim had been slashed in the throat. They evaluated the patient, controlled the bleeding and sent the patient to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
Tree down: At 5:14 p.m., firefighters responded to a report of a tree down on the roof of a house on Issaquah-Fall City Road S.E. The tree apparently was knocked over by the wind. No one in the home had been injured.
Gas line break: At 7:59 p.m., firefighters were called to the Lake Alice Road S.E. area for a report of a broken gas line. A backhoe reportedly broke a pipe carrying natural gas. Firefighters shut off gas to the house and notified PSE.
Wednesday, March 2
Accident: At 4:31 p.m., the department was dispatched to a car accident at the intersection of Preston-Fall City Road S.E. and S.E. David Powell Road. They evaluated a 3-year-old boy and left him with his mother.
Nosebleed: At 9:21 p.m., firefighters and EMTs assisted a 14-year-old girl with an uncontrolled nosebleed. They helped her to stop the bleeding and left her with her parents.

Tuesday, March 1
Car fire: At 12:54 p.m., the department was dispatched to car fire. While en route, the crew was notified that the vehicle was on the side of the road pulling a trailer. They arrived to find a 2000 Cadillac Escalade with a fully‐involved engine compartment. The driver was standing on the roadside. He told firefighters he pulled over when all his gauges lit up, and when he got out, he saw flames in the vehicle’s wheel wells. A semi‐truck driver had stopped and tried to put out the flames with an extinguisher but was unsuccessful. Firefighters put out the flames and determined that the fire had spread through the vehicle’s fire wall, damaging the passenger compartment.
Medical aid: In addition, Snoqualmie EMTs responded to 16 medical incidents, for total calls to date of 156.
