On Saturday, Jan. 23, a group of 32 Chief Kanim Middle School students, teachers and parents banded together to feed the homeless with Urban Missions in downtown Seattle.
The event organized by Key Club sponsor Paula Young-Keeffe, include students from sixth, seventh and eighth grades. Students who couldn’t participate but wanted to help donated clothing, Young-Keeffe said.
The group joined a group from Snoqualmie Valley Alliance Church, which organizes a monthly feeding and clothing distribution for homeless people in downtown Seattle underneath the James Street Bridge.
