North Bend tree lighting canceled; Santa still coming and film festival goes on

The city of North Bend has announced that its outdoor holiday festival events will be canceled because of the rainy weather. Indoor events including photos with Santa at Boxley’s and the Mountain Film Festival at North Bend Theater will go on as planned.

Several vendors and performers canceled because of the weather.

Santa will be available for photos at Boxley’s from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. and the North Bend Theater will present the North Bend Amateur Film Challenge winners at 6:30 p.m., followed by Warren Miller’s “Chasing Shadows” at 8 p.m.

The North Bend Visitor Information Center is also hosting an artist reception today, 3 to 6 p.m.
