Cherry Valley fire alarm triggered by damaged water pipe

Riverview School District reported that at approximately 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, the fire alarm sounded at Cherry Valley Elementary School in Duvall.
Students were evacuated according to the school’s fire safety protocol and no one was injured.
The Duvall Fire Department responded to the alarm and found that an outside water pipe was damaged and had triggered the alarm. There was no damage inside the building and students re-entered the school at about 3:15 p.m. The pipe is under repair.
