West Snoqualmie Valley Road Northeast was undermined following a landslide, caused by heavy rains in March, 2014. County maintenance crews made temporary repairs to the road, to begin planning for full reconstruction of the road.
Reconstruction will begin at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5. King County will close both lanes of West Snoqualmie Valley Road Northeast just north of Northeast Novelty Hill Road to through traffic for approximately three weeks in order to repair damage from the landslide and reconstruct the road. The project will also include building a retaining wall, guard rail, and native vegatation plantings. Detour signs will be posted.
King County has posted alternative routes on its website, https://kcroadwise.wordpress.com/2015/09/28/west-snoqualmie-valley-rd-ne-to-close-for-three-weeks-north-of-ne-novelty-hill-road.
