Saturday auction helps fund festival

The Festival at Mount Si is funded solely through donations and run by an all-volunteer committee.

“Vendors are up this year, and sponsorhip is holding,” said Festival chairperson Jill Massengill, but donations are always welcome.

“We raise about enough money to pay for the event, and then we start over,” she said.

The silent auction of items donated by many local businesses is one of the event’s biggest fundraisers.

Held Saturday from noon to 5 p.m., the auction will feature items from local and regional businesses.

Items have a minimum bid, and the minimum raise is $1. There is also a buyout amount.
