I-90 ramp to close for eight weeks

The carpool ramp on eastbound I-90, exiting to I-405 will close at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25. Carpools, vanpools and transit must use the main line exit from to I-405 during the eight-week closure.

While the ramp is closed, contractor crews from MidMountain Contractors, Inc. will realign the ramp, in preparation for the final stage of a project to add carpool lanes to both directions of I-90 between Seattle and Bellevue. The lanes will be added to the outer edges of I-90, to allow for construction of Sound Transit’s 14-mile East Link light rail extension from Seattle to Redmond.
